Welcome to Bordershow Pony StudBordershow Pony Stud is a relatively new stud, but over the years, we have acquired an outstanding band of broodmares carrying imported bloodlines such as Strinsdale Matador, Rotherwood Acrobat, Keston Royal Occasion, Sir Percy of Paxhall, Fairley Tempest, Rotherwood Commander, Rotherwood Windswept. Jackets Bluebird and Sianwood Silversmith, among others.
Our senior stallion Cedar Lakes Oliver has the most unbelievable temperament and cutest dishy face. His oldest progeny is now 2 years old (see Bordershow Bedazzled) and has been lightly shown. She is also very quiet but has a lot of presence in the show ring. Ziggy’s sons and daughters will make wonderful children’s ponies, safe and suitable even for royal shows. Our next stallion Tarkarri Marcus we have only had for approximately 18 months, and his first crop of foals born this season are very correct, friendly and have movement to die for. Our newest acquisition is the gorgeous Falconhurst Boy Blue, whom we have only just bought and are incredibly pleased with. We are in the process of breeding him to a few of our mares and are eagerly awaiting his foals next year.
Our Welsh lines have been mainly based on Revel Bloodlines with our three mares, daughters of Waminda Glynn a son of Revel Pye(imp). They are out of Trentlyn Hylight who’s dam is the well know Springbourne Hyenyyd (imp) We also have two granddaughters of the lovely Menai Silver Sands(imp) and a granddaughter of Twyford Santa (imp). Some of our mares also carry the lines of Coed Coch Gwyndaf (imp), Twyford Negus (imp) and Carnalw Hyderus (imp) Our senior stallion is Weston Legend whom we only purchased in 2004 at the age of 18, but we are very impressed with his progeny. Prior to having Legend we were fortunate to be able to lease Cefn-on Parc Squire who produced some stunning foals for us.
Bordershow Pony Stud is situated in Queensland with the bulk of the stud in Canungra, very near to the Gold Coast on 30 river flat acres. Our show team are housed in Jimboomba about thirty minutes drive away. We love having visitors to see the ponies or the dogs so if you
